Shore Strong 2024

The Shore Strong 36-Hour Athletics Challenge is a celebration of Goose Nation spirit and the power of giving back. Students, employees, alumni, family and friends come together virtually and show their support for their favorite teams. You can make a positive impact on our student-athletes by making a gift to any team during this 36-hour event, and special challenges mean that your gift can go further and do more than at any other time of the year. 

The funds raised go directly to enhancing the overall experience for all student-athletes and will be utilized to support the specific needs of each program as they strive for excellence on the playing field and beyond.  

Every donation will prompt a matching gift from generous Board and Alumni donors who pledge to match your dollar for dollar, to double your impact.   

There are multiple challenges that can be unlocked for bonus cash for each team! 

Yes! Just getting the word out is key. We hope you’ll support this important effort to earn the full match of $100,000 by telling your WC friends, interacting with our posts on the social media, and sharing them on your own social media. (You can use the hashtag #shorestrong, #goosenation.

Or the easiest way is to become a WC Ambassador. You will have access to ready-made content to share and your own custom downloadable link to share on social, which allows you to track how many donors from your network you have matched, find out how much you have raised, and see how much of a difference you are making. Yes! You can make multiple gifts at one time. As you check out one gift, make sure to select "Add a Donation" on the gift menu to select the other areas you would like to support. Your card will only be charged once for the sum of your donations. 

Yes. Please see the Final Steps section on the Donate page to make your gift in honor or in memoriam of a person or organization. 

Yes, your gift can be made anonymously. In the Final Steps section on the Donate page, simply choose which setting under Donor Wall Settings fits best for you. 

Yes, your gift is tax deductible. You will be mailed a receipt that can be used for tax purposes.  

No, you can contact the Office of Advancement Services: 410-810-5059 and we can help you process your gift.  If you plan to mail your gift and would like it to count towards Mighty Match totals, please call 410-810-5059 or email mdykeman2@washcoll.edu so that we can make sure your gift is applied to Mighty Match Day tallies.
